The Movie Blog has made an interesting speculation in regards to what Zak Penn may be doing in the way of an X-Men spin-off movie. While I conjectured earlier that the Morlocks could be popping-up in X3, Penn could be up to creating a whole new franchise in the form of The New Mutants. A New Mutants film would be good for bringing new angle to the X-Mansion and Xavier’s School for Gifted Children and a whole new cast, except maybe Patrick Stewart.
Of course this could just be idle speculation.
