The Victoria Independant Film and Video Festival is nearly upon us and details of this years festival are starting to make it to my ears. My January article in Attactions magazine has a look at some of the localy made films that will be at the festival, and I have just learned about a profesional forum that will be happening durring the festival, Trigger Points Pacific Co-Production Conference.
Trigger Points Pacific is an initiative of the Victoria Independent Film & Video Festival, designed to bring together top industry players from Pacific Rim countries and Canadian producers for one-on-one meetings and panel discussions on international co-productions. Hosted by Pat Ferns (Ferns Productions) and Sheena Macdonald (Rhombus International) at Victoria's Laurel Point Inn, from January 27-29, and Modeled on the very successful Mannheim Co-Production Meetings, this conference will facilitate personal contacts to to form invaluable business relationships with potential finance, broadcast, or foreign production partners.
I'll have more information over the next few weeks about the VIFVF.
