This is the first competitive weekend of the summer box-office season. While Mission Impossible 3 was a weak starter for the season last weekend it was sketchy as to its strength against the new entry, Poseidon. How did it go?
MI: III got the win with $24.5M over Poseidon's $20.3M, a close first weekend but now Tom Cruise has to go up against Tom Hanks' Da Vinci Code.
