Have you seen an email offering deleted scenes from your favorite TV series?
Apparently it's the latest method to entice you into downloading malicious spyware. Heroes is the favored series that I've heard of it for, but there are other shows that this is being tried with as well.
I first heard about people receiving inbox posts like Forbidden Heroes scenes - we laid our hands on them!. Then the message claims to have scenes deleted by the Network (NBC) that they felt were to explicit for broadcast. Instead of a steamy Ali Larter striptease or a view of everyones favorite cheerleader Clare and beefy West risking getting caught by HRG, they get a file that should get The Company's alarm bells ringing.
Simple lesson is, if it seems to good to be true, and it comes in an unsolicited email, it probably is (too good to be true).
