75-year-old acting veteran Roy Scheider passed away on Sunday in Arkansas from complications from a staph infection.
Scheider was nominated for Oscars twice, the first as supporting actor for The French Connection, the second as lead actor in All That Jazz.
Scheider began his film and TV career in 1956, but it was 1975's Jaws by Steven Spielberg that put him on the map. I realy enjoyed him in Seaquest DSV
In recent years, Scheider had been diagnosed with blood cancer and underwent a bone-marrow transplant in 2005 to treat multiple myeloma.
