Year in Review 2008

2008 was a year of laughs and a year of sadness, both in the theatres and outside. This was the year of the Comic Book. The top two movies this year were based on Comic Book properties. Of the 9 Comic Book related films, with one more to come Christmas day, they have earned over $1.5 Billion or nearly $1.75 Million average. That's why there are three in the top-five of the year.

While many will site the death of Heath Ledger in January for the stellar performance of Dark Knight, but I think it was the stellar performance of the entire cast. Iron Man was propelled by a strong origin story and an actor that the fans could connect easily to the role.
