Neil Gaiman's
American Gods is heading to television. The single novel by the famed British author is set to become a series on Starz. Starz has recently captured the essence of
Outlander by Diana Gabaldon in a series going into its second season, but where
Outlander is a part of a four book series,
American Gods is a single book.
The series has only just been greenlit, so no cast have been chosen, but
Bryan Fuller and
Michael Green are on board as show-runners. Both previously worked on
Heroes at NBC and Michael is working on the screenplay for the upcoming
Blade Runner sequel.
