Many bits of news were revealed today for the Star Trek Universe (STU?). Wil Wheaton (Wesley Crusher) interviewed Patrick Steward (Captain Picard) for the upcoming second season of the Paramount+ (formal CBS All Access) series Picard. In the midst of that interview it was revealed that John De Lancie will be returning to the Trek-verse as Q. There was also a suggestion of some time travel.
On Star Trek: Discovery's fourth season the teaser trailer was shown, as well as a Featurette was released about the making of the 32nr century uniforms.
While these two shows are currently in production, so is the second season of Lower Decks, the first season of the Discovery spin-off series Strange New Worlds and the new animated show Prodigy (on Nickelodeon), with Kate Mulgrew returning as Captain Janeway.
With five television series in production, its no wonder there is no rush to make another film for the theatres, but I would like to see a third season of Short Treks.
