Disney has moved its film schedule, as to clear the February 2022 slot held by Doctor Strange, moving it to the Thor date, and Thor to the Black Panther date in November.
The new schedule looks like this:
May 6th, 2022: Doctor Strange: in the Multiverse of Madness
July 8th, 2022: Thor: Love and Thunder
November 11th, 2022: Black Panther: Wakanda Forever
February 17th, 2023: The Marvels
May 5th, 2023: Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3
July 28th, 2023: Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania
November 3rd, 2023: Fantastic Four ?
No reason was given for the vacating of the February slot, but the guess is that Disney isn't seeing fast enough return to theatres and wants to give the opportunity for audiences to grow.
